Configuring the UDS
2440 modem as a local
2400 bps modem
To use the front panel to configure the UDS 2440 modem as the
local modem operating at 2400 bps, follow these steps.
Note: The front panel of the modem contains a small display
and several buttons (YES, NO, and TALK) that are used to
configure the modem.
UDS 2440 modem configuration (front panel method)
Step Action
1 Plug in the modem and turn it on.
2 Press the YES button until OFFLINE appears in the display
window.
3 Press NO in response to the OFFLINE prompt.
4 Press NO to advance to the next desired prompt.
5 Enter the appropriate response for each prompt listed in the
following table to configure the modem.
