Installing cables from backplane to I/O panel
Introduction
The following procedures describe how to connect the 5-port
and 4-port RS-232 cables and how to connect the alarm/modem
cable from the backplane to the I/O panel.
CAUTION
Risk of equipment damage
I/O-to-backplane cables NT6P0123 and
NT6P0114 have high-density connectors at
the backplane end. You must install these
connectors very carefully to avoid
damaging the pins. Line up the connector
at right angles to the backplane, and press
gently until you hear a click. If you need to
remove the cables, use an extraction tool
(P0741489), and follow “Using the high-
density connector extraction tool” on page
9-4.
