5. Change your IE settings to allow the DVR (ActiveX control) to install. Go to Tools - Security -

Custom Level. Change the following settings to prompt: Download unsigned ActiveX Controls

& Install and run ActiveX Controls not marked as safe for scripting.

6. Verify that port 67 (control port) and port 68 (data port) are not blocked by your router or ISP

(Internet Service Provider).

7. If you just updated your DVR firmware and the DVR stopped working in IE, go to Tools - Internet

Options - General and select “Temporary Internet files” and all other offline content.
