Alarm Setup Continued
• Focus Camera: This option is used to call up the corresponding camera on the video outputs.
• Duration: This option defines the response duration (in seconds) of the Alarm Out relay & Buzzer
when an alarm input is triggered. The Alarm Out relay and the Buzzer will be reset immediately
once the alarm input returns to normal. Use the +/- buttons to adjust the value (3 seconds - 60
minutes, discrete, or choose ‘-‘ for continuous activation).
• Goto Preset: This option defines the preset position the current camera (if a PTZ camera) will go
to if an alarm input is triggered on that camera.
• Pre-record: This defines how long video will be saved when an alarm input is triggered on the
corresponding camera. Use the +/- buttons to adjust the value (0-10 seconds, discrete). The
actual pre-recorded time may be shorter than the value set if the size of the pre-recorded file
exceeds the designated buffering size of the DVR’s memory.
• Post-record: This defines how long video will be saved if after an alarm input is detected on the
corresponding camera. Use the +/- buttons to adjust the value.
Alarm Out: This option defines which Alarm Output will be triggered when the Alarm Input on the
corresponding camera is triggered. Use the +/- buttons to select none (N/A) or one of the Alarm
Outputs (1-4).
• Buzzer: This option defines whether or not to activate the internal Buzzer when the Alarm Input on
the corresponding camera is detected. Use the Enter or +/- (Mouse: Left click) to check/uncheck
this option. By default, this setting is checked.
• Log: This defines whether or not system events are logged. Click Enter or +/- to check/uncheck
this option. By default, this setting is checked.
• Screen Message: This option defines whether the event message appears on the screen or not.
Use the Enter button or +/- to check/uncheck this option. By default, this setting is checked.
• Notification: This option defines whether or not to send an event e-mail to a mobile device when
an Alarm Input is detected. If the mobile device has push notifications for the DVR enabled, an
e-mail will be sent to the predefined email addresses when the event is triggered. Press Enter or
+/- to check/uncheck this item. By default, this setting is checked.
• FTP: This option defines whether a file of a recorded event video/audio files is sent to an FTP
server. Use the Enter button or +/- to check/uncheck this option. By default, this setting is not
checked.
