2.10.14. Controller Maintenance

This menu item includes maintenance functions such as new firmware on BIOS

downloading

1 Use the

keys to select “Controller Maintenance” and press [Enter]. The fol-

lowing submenu will be displayed:

Download Firmware

Download BIOS

Advanced Maintenance Functions

2 Use the keys to select the desired function and press [Enter].

3 A prompt for confirmation similar to the following will be displayed. Type Y to

confirm or use

keys to select “Yes” and press [Enter].

Download Firmware ?

Yes No

4 For running Text RAID Manager “RAIDMAN.EXE”, a message similar to the

following will appear, select Ye s for downloading.

Download Firmware ?

Yes No

For RS-232 Terminal Interface Operation, a message similar to the following

will appear indicating the controller is awaiting a response from the host:

Download code only. leaving boot record intact.

Waiting for Download of Firmware Binary.

Please use ZMODEM protocol to send Firmware binary file

5 For running RAID manger “RAIDMAN.EXE”, typing the file name to be down-

loaded with drivers path where the downloaded file can be found and press [En-

ter] when following screen appears:

Enter File Name:

For RS-232 Terminal Interface Operation, download operation has been selected,

have the host communication program “send” the file containing the data to be

downloaded using ZMODEM protocol.
