2.10.2. Enabling/Disabling Write Back Cache

1 To toggle the Write Back Cache setting use the keys to select “Write back

cache” and press [Enter].

2 When the following prompt is displayed, type Y to confirm the change in setting

or use the

to select “Yes” and press [Enter] to enable data write-back cach-

ing or vice versa.

2.10.3. SCSI Motor Spin Up

This option determines whether or not the ASUS PCI-DA2000 Series sequences the

drives to start spinning in succession at five second intervals. Enabling such se-

quencing can help to prevent overloading the power supply when several drives spin

up at the same time.

1 To toggle the current setting Use the

keys to select “Scsi Motor spin up” and

press [Enter].

2 When the following prompt is displayed, type Y to confirm the change in setting

or use the

to select “Yes” and press [Enter] to enable sequential motor

spin-up.

2.10.4. SCSI Reset At Power Up

This option determines whether or not the ASUS PCI-DA2000 Series asserts SCSI

bus reset during power-up initialization.

1 To toggle the setting use the

keys to select “Scsi Reset at power up” and press

[Enter].

2 When the following prompt is displayed, type Y to confirm the change in setting

or use the

to select “Yes” and press [Enter] to enable power-up reset.
