Creating New Drives

8 Press [Esc] after selecting the drives and if a fault-tolerant RAID level (1,3 or 5)

has been selected, the controller will start parity initialization. A progress indi-

cator similar to the one shown below will be displayed. When initialization has

finished, logical drive creation is complete.

9 At this point, the logical drive has been partitioned into a single

partition covering the entire drive capacity and is inaccessible to the host.

10 If different partitioning is desired, go to “Partition Logical Drive”

(section 2.4.2.4.) menu to do the partitioning.

11 When the Logical Drive is properly partitioned, go to “View and Edit scsi id

Map” (section 2.5.) menu to map the Logical Drive Partitions to LUNs.
