New Database and Table Limits
This section covers changes in table and database limits:
• Maximum Number of Users and Logins
•New Table Limits
Maximum Number of Users and Logins
The maximum number of logins to the server and users to the database has been
increased. ASE 12.5 now supports:
• 2 billion plus 32K logins to the dataserver
• 2 billion less 1032193 users to a database
• 1032193 groups to a database
There is some new behavior due to this change:
• Negative values may be used for user IDs (
uid)
• The server user ID (
suid) associated with a group or a role in sysusers is
no longer equal to the negation of their
uid. In ASE 12, every suid
associated with a group or a role in
sysusers is set to -2(INVALID_SUID).

New Table Limits
The following chart shows new table object limits for the different page sizes,
with some differences according to locking scheme. This is for your
